Unexpected Books: Which books did you have reservations about reading, but ended up loving once you did?
Another was The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. Again, this was bought for me by my mother, and it ended up sitting on my shelf for a long time. It wasn't so much that I had reservations against reading, just that I never felt like reading it. I actually just tackled it a few months ago, when I had no interest in studying for midterms. I had that whole series done in under a week.
What books do you have reservations about reading? Did you end up loving them?

I had the same exact experience with Vampire Academy. They just sounded SO FREAKING CHEESY. But then... I read them. And I loved them!
ReplyDeleteAnd Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers is HILARIOUS. It is one of the later books in the Confessions of Georgia Nicholson Series, which is one of my faves. They are all so funny, plus there is boy drama and cake.
I loved both books and really wanted to read them, but I understand the hesitation!

Loved the Vampire Academy series too - and I thought each book just kept getting better.
ReplyDeleteYES to both of these! Just finished the Vampire Academy series and absolutely loved it. I loved The Iron King series as well, even though Megan was getting a little annoying by the end. LOL at "when I had no interest in studying for midterms" - so true. I feel like that's when I get the most reading done, haha.
