Top Ten Freebie Week!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful ladies over at

This week, the topic is...
Top Ten Book Habits That Many Won't Approve Of

It's freebie week and my creative side is not in high gear right now.  I was inspired by the countless bloggers who have Book Blogger Confession-style posts, so here is a list of things that I can see some of you scolding me about...
  1. I read in the bath.
  2. I read while drinking.
  3. I read while eating.
  4. One time, I left a book in the backseat of my car for so long that the pages all turned orange, but I kind of love it!
  5. I have an intense dislike for my local library.  It's very conservative and lacks anything interesting.
  6. I will DNF a book really fast if I don't feel like I'm getting into the story.
  7. I always bring a book to work, which would be fine if I didn't work around food and grease.
  8. I will throw a book if it makes me mad or brings out any sort of intense/crazy emotions.
  9. I have loaned out books before, forgotten who I gave them to, then never got them back (Impulse by Ellen Hopkins hurts the most).
  10. I currently have about 5 books on the go.  I usually try to finish one before I start another, but I haven't really gotten into anything lately.
Now it is your turn!  Share your awful book a habits!

Much love, Samantha

  1. I actually have a lot of these in common with you, so no scolding coming from me. I usually have no more than two books on the go, though. My brain probably couldn't handle much more. :-)

  2. I'm with you on almost all counts. I read in the bath, while I'm eating/drinking. I bring a book to work. I'm currently reading an embarrassing number of books right now (for real, like, 8 I think). I'll DNF within pages if a book isn't capturing my attention. I have stopped lending books out--for that reason, though. And I LOVE my library system. Great list!
