"Waiting On" Wednesday: The Lost Prince

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we are eagerly anticipating!

This week I'm excited for...
Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.  That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he'd dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten. (From Goodreads)
It seems like everyone and their mom has already gotten to read this one.  Alas, I have not, but I am freakin' excited to!  Way back in March, I was procrastinating from studying for midterms.  I happened to start reading The Iron King.  Little studying was done from that point on, and I have been hooked on Julie Kagawa's writing since!

At first I was unsure how I felt about a series based around Ethan.  He's the baby brother, after all.  The idea has grown on me, though.  I like that he has grown up knowing about the Fae, unlike Meghan, who had the world suddenly dropped on her.  It will be nice to see things from Ethan's perspective.

And who could resist the possibility of more Ash and Puck?

The Lost Prince is officially released October 23rd, 2012.  You know where I'll be.

Much love, Samantha

  2. Hey, Samantha. I got an ARC of this from NetGalley weeks ago. This was also one of my most anticipated reads of fall 2012. I loved Iron Fey series and Puck and Ash...but I didn't really like this one a lot. Hope you'll like it though.

  3. I have not read a single book in the Iron Fey series (I know! I need to get on that!) I'm waiting to get a copy of 'Outpost' (it's the sequel to 'Enclave', sort of a zombie book). It came out earlier this month, but I'm trying to get it via the library to save my budget!
